Hi, My name is Chris. I’m 21 years old. I live in Illinois. I’m a floor installer. I run/manage about 3 vBulletin forums in my free time (if I’m not playing xbox 360).
I like playing games on Xbox 360. In fact, I get a lot of my forum traffic from playing video games. I’m sure I’ll make a thread somewhere around this site detailing how I get that traffic eventually.
If you’d like to know more about me or more about how I get my traffic from playing video games, feel free to message me.
The sites I run/manage are;
- (Resource no longer exists) – 550 Registered Users
- (Resource no longer exists) – 46 Registered Users (New Forum)
Enjoy your stay :)
I'm not at all into maintaining video game related sites, but I have made something very simple, my player name on the PS3 network is the url of one of my site.
Of course there are some characters we can't use such as the . so I use capital letters and underscore such as DomainName_com and I can hear while playing the game (battlefield 3 is the one I'm in regularly nowadays) that people who talk are saying my playername out loud by saying Domain Name DOT com
So I'm promoting my site while playing online :-)
The problem is my site is not aimed at players, but if it was it would be even better.
Yeah using the ingame gamertag or PSN as a website is a clever way of promoting your site. I actually have one for 2 of my sites, www RoGClan com and Xbox 360 Clans.
While the second one doesn't have www or com, people are still curious about the name and always ask questions or look at my bio which has the website url.
The sites are growing fast. Compared to the stats I posted earlier last month.
