My name is Jason, I’m a magazine and website editor based in Minnesota. We are currently in the process of completing an outright purchase of a long-running print magazine. During the merger process, we’ve started to brand our website with the magazine info and the two parties are currently operating under the same company name.
The web presence for the magazine was essentially non-existant prior to our merger.
Since, we’ve started to integrate Google AdSense into our page. I had a lot of success with Google Ads at my previous company, but more with the YouTube side of things vs. page placement.
Now, I’m basically starting from scratch and been trying to feverishly learn the ins and outs of AdSense to get better CTR’s so we get better paying ads. Right now, it appears my tweaks aren’t working too much. I’ll go into those details in a more manageable thread, per the site rules.
I hope to be able to acquire a little bit more advice in how to properly execute adsense to maximize our potential profits. I’m just trying to find the right formula to bring in a few hundred extra dollars a month.
My last company pulls in nearly 1K a month just on video ads. Our traffic is good, but again, those are details I’ll hopefully explain and gather feedback on in future threads.
