James here

Hello admin and others.

I have come to this forum from your DP sig, it’s true that the DP forums are plagued by dumb users. Well perhaps they are not dumb but they sure look like they are from their stupid questions and basic level of english.

Of course you also have good users there, but the amount of dumb ones largely outweights.

Here I think it’s going to be a lot quieter, but since it’s new I’m sure you’ll be motivated for some time.

I don’t know what is your goal though, because as you know you can’t put adsense on a domain name with adsense in it, and also it would be beneficial to you since adsense users tend not to click.

But maybe they’ll be receptive to other products such as ebooks, or perhaps you’ll simply use a CPM ad network in order to make some money when/if there will be a lot of traffic on this forum.

I’ve searched for a forum specialized in adsense before, but everything I’ve found was poor and with too few members, or just like DP wasn’t a forum dedicated to adsense but just an adsense section, so I didn’t register. This one perhaps will be good.

But what is true also is that beginners make the post counts, because if everybody here knows already about adsense, then the questions will be fewer. And if you want more and more people on your forum, it will have to be beginners 🙂

Anyway, next I’m going to look for the first posts and see if I can contribute.

Sometimes education and sharing ideas is benefit enough.

I have my forums that earn enough money for me, this is purely to get the more advanced Publishers into one spot to share Ideas.

Just out of curiosity where does it say that you can't put adsense on a site about adsense?

It doesn't say specifically, but adsense being their trademark, there is something about the use of trademark, like google or adsense.

The first time I wanted to do an adsense revenue sharing site, I asked them if I could put adsense in the domain name, they said i need to ask permission, but the process involves sending papers to their legal team which I didn't do because I was pretty sure I would get no answer or a no, and I then took another domain name.

You can put it, but one day or another you'll get ads disabled on this domain, there's no problem for your account though.

It happened to adsensechat.com and also another with adsense in the domain name.

It happened also to one site I made before doing shetoldme.com I called is adsensigg.com for adsense + digg, and they disabled ads on it because it was too close to adsense(tm)

If I ever thought on putting Adsense on this forum I would contact Adsense first anyways.

But monetizing a website that is targeted to Webmasters and Publishers with CPC Ads is a waist of time.

Only CPM makes sense and for that I would use a direct advertising marketer.

However that will (if ever) take a very long time.

The main goal here is sharing knowledge.

Ah and welcome aboard by the way ;)
