Hi
I am quite new to Twitter marketing and so far I like it.
I am currently exploring all possibilities on how to utilize twitter to help other webmasters to increase their AdSense earnings. And of course market AdsenseExperts 😀
I find a very cool Tool that helps me a lot.
- Who else here engages in Twitter Marketing?
- What are your experiences?
- Any useful tips to share?
Ah one more thing.
I just stumbled upon moretweets.com which is a “I tweet you, you tweet me” kind of service. So far I am not yet sure if it is a good idea to participate because I don’t want to pollute my Tweets with spam.
Anyone using them and has some experience to share?
I don't engage in social, I don't use it to network with other webmasters, it's a dead twitter account with no human input.
So that's not the best way to use the potential of twitter/facebook in terms of traffic, but it does a little as it is as I can see it sometimes in referrer in my webtracking stats.
I get "followers" on twitter, so either it's also bots trying to get more followers by following random twitter accounts, either it's people who like to subscribe to new content on my site via twitter instead of rss, I don't think so, but perhaps some people enjoy this way.
I have a separate twitter account for each of my websites too with auto twitter of new content.
I try to use @AdSenseExperts more active though for a bit longer but so far it looks like the effort does not pay off very well.

I have also written an ebook based on twitter, in Italian and English.
I also saw that if the profile is updated only with retweets and articles published on your site, does not bring many results.
I have twitter integrated with my Facebook page so I post on Facebook and it goes to twitter automatically so both Facebook fans and twitter followers get the link.
I also always use a #Hashtag that goes with the content I am posting. When using a hashtag you automatically put your link into that twitter search directory for that topic.
If I post about Battlefield 3, I use the hashtag: #BF3 and anyone search for BF3 related links and discussions on twitter will see that link.
It does boost traffic for bit or so but it's hard to keep that traffic constantly unless you manage to get a lot of followers.
Overall I wouldn't count twitter out, it is a great way to spread a message and even start up a forum or website for a specific topic.
I just recently started a website dedicated to PlanetSide 2(which is a video game) (Resource no longer exists) and I immediately started using twitter to get it out there and I managed to get 100 members within the first 24 hours of the site being live just by using the hashtag #PlanetSide2
Obviously you can only really use this for tweets that are not time specific but it works well for putting out tweets using little aphorisms or words of wisdom.
I've set this up on my account so it posts an inspirational quote every 2 days for the next year.
Like many on here I just use twitterfeed to link my rss feed to my twitter account. I'm going to make a concerted effort to try and engage more with people.
