8 Things you must Test when Optimizing AdSense
Hello
The biggest “secret” to AdSense is constant testing of small and bigger changes.
If you for example test an AdSense Ad with medium font against big font and you get a 0.4% increase in CTR with the big font, then this translates into more money day after day.
Do you catch my drift?
So here is a list of things you definitely should test on your websites:

How to compare different Ads?
(written by CThiessen)
Hi,
from time to time i like to see if how the performance is doing if i change something.
So only changing a color might have a big influence.
If i do some changes it is difficult to compare.
Because the changes in the performance might also have other reasons.
Good weather, bad weather, sport events in TV or what ever.
So to compare 2 different Ads it is the best to use it at the same time.
For that I use this Mod:
Rotating Banner System – vBulletin.org Forum
Make sure you use the different Ads in the same position and with different channels.
You might put in the Text area of the Mod more than only the AdSense Code.
That allows you also playing around with Background Colors or aliment.
Greetings
Christian

How to optimize AdSense with Split Tests
Hello
I always say that continuously testing is the key to maximizing AdSense earnings.
Today I want to emphasize this once more with an example from my recent tests.
The last 2 month my AdSense earnings dropped about 1/3 for no apparent reason.
The traffic is nearly the same and I run forum(s) so there is fresh content daily.
I’d like to think that April and Mai are month with low advertising spendings (in direct sold advertising it is) but anyways AdSense is a long term business and a few draw backs are not unusual.
I took this “opportunity” and started testing again to see if I can get the numbers back up by running a few Split Tests.
But what is a split test?
