   One not to use in my humble opinion is the Arras theme.

       Probably not the best person to ask here as we always build our own themes but I hear that a couple of good ones for Google SEO are Genesis themes and Thesis themes.
       
       They are paid themes so don't know if that fits in with your plans. I think they both offer refunds if not completely satisfied.

           I didn't know you had an Arras theme but YES we have tested it to destruction and directly we moved to another theme with the same content we gained page rank and the adsense improved.
           
           We had about 5 sites that were using it because it looked fresh and clean.
           
           We have replaced them all. Maybe someone else has tested Arras here, would be interesting to find other views.

   As someone who is living from his adsense check in a expensive city, My Advice: Place the Ads near the content.
   
   Try the default adsense theme (blue headlines, Green URL, Black text)

     Test it! It may be different on your site but it is unlikely.

   I'm going to do a test, I just realized that I never really used the standard colors, simply because everybody everywhere always recommends blending.
   
   I did do some tests with color schemes, but apparently not enough.
   
   Later tonight I'm gonna watch the interview, I wanna know what line I need to remove to double my income.:)
