there are a couple of things I’d like to talk about.
First I have noticed that one advertizer has been targeting this forum in particular, and they are a direct competition to the admin here. Their site is adconversion.info where they pretend they have ex-Google employees in their team, well prove it, they don’t even try to.
Anyway, that’s good that some advertizers target this forum in particular.
My second point I’d like to discuss is about having adsense ads on this forum when the domain name has the adsense trademark.
Since quite a long time, several years, at least 7 for me, I’m aware that adsense disables ads on sites which have adsense or another google trademark in the domain name (not in url, in domain name)
They even disabled ads on one of my site because my domain name was CLOSE to their trademark, it was their official reason, not anything else 🙂
So I’d like to ask to the admin if you are aware of that rule or not.
If you are then perhaps you’ve asked for google’s permission.. in their rules they say you can’t unless you have proper permission from google, but to get this permission you need to send REAL MAIL, that’s what stopped me, online is ok, but if I have to send documents via snail mail, it’s enough to stop me 🙂
If you have no permission, then I guess one day or another you’ll get the ads disabled email, but there’s nothing to worry about since only this site will be affected not your whole account.
And on this site you’ll be able to advertize via another way than adsense.
Anyway those were my two topics for mindless chat:
1. the advertizer adconversion.info targeting this site with CPM ads I guess. Claiming they have ex-Google employees in their team and how it competes directly with admin’s (Resource no longer exists)
2. having adsense ads on a domain name composed with a google trademark, and how to go about this.
Thanks for watching out. However adconversion.info bought this advertising from me directly (CPM is correct :p). I don't run AdSense on this forum for the above mentioned reason so no worries there ;)
I currently don't offer my consulting service or at least only for very few hand picked customers so they are no real competition.
They do optimize AdSense by putting up premium AdSense Ads on customer websites which definitely increases CTR and earnings so they are legit (at least the service they offer. I can't prove if they are ex Google employees or not :)).
I should start using DFP soon, I've seen in latest adsense newsletter, they are introducing DFP once again to publishers.. I really should start, and then I'll have lot of tutorials just right here on AdsenseExperts !
