Best place for maximum clicks

I am new to this forum, but plan on being a fixture in here :).

My adsense has plummetted in the past couple of months, and I don’t know why. I’ve been doing adsense for many years, so am not a newbie, but have not really stayed up current best practices.

So, what are the best placements on a page for highest clicks?

Would appreciate any feedback.

Change my ad-formats for forum showthread pages – Urgent.

Hello,

I need immediate help to change advertisement format on our forums showthread pages..

I have attached the screenshot.

Our Setup: Using three leaderboards on showthread pages.

  • 2 below navbar
  • 1 above footer

I need to remove 1 leaderboard which is positioned below navbar and add a large square box just before the first post.

What should be best placement to make most out of our forum showthread pages

Please help.

Did you take the display order of your AdSense ADs into account?

Hello

This is public knowledge since the beginning of AdSense however I think it is still
worth to write a short article about it.

When implementing Google AdSense ADs into your website you should take the way
that Google distributes ADs to multiple units on a page into account.

The first AD Unit to appear on a Web page (in HTML code, not the visible part) always
shows the ADs that placed the highest bids.

In other words: The higher an AD appears on a page (again, in the HTML not the visible part of the page), the more that AD is worth.

Do you display Adsense ads to admins and moderators?

I was curious as to what approach you guys take in your forums or website regarding this matter?

Since I am the admin of the site, I’m constantly on my forums making sure everything is running smoothly. Right now, I am displaying the same ads that are shown to registered members to admins and mods as well.

Should I turn off the Adsense ads for admins and mods since they are constantly online and viewing different pages? would that hurt any of my Adsense stats since each visit is counted as a page impression?

One main reason I like to see the ads myself is that it will allow me to control the ads. Let’s say I see a ad I don’t like and it’s not related to my website. Then by seeing it, I can login to my Adsense account and block it.

Do you harness the full potential of placement targeting?

Hello

I made a big change to my website that hopefully will increase my earnings a lot over time.

I run a medical forum for patients to ask medical questions. My forum has several medical categories with different topics.

So far I made extensive use of Adsense channels to track each of my Ads separately.

I also activated “placement targeting” for the best performing ad placements.

However I did not realize the full potential of “placement targeting” until yesterday after I talked to my direct advertising marketer:
