Link Units next to posting rules – AdsenseExperts exclusive
Hello
This is another AdSense implementation for your vBulletin 4.0 Forum.
This placement is exclusively released for AdsenseExperts. You are allowed to use this placement on your own forum, however republishing this modification on other website is only allowed with prior written consent by me.
What this mod does
This mod adds 2 Google Adsense Link Units next to the posting rules below each thread (in showthread).
It is blended to complement your forum content but is clearly labeled as Ad to strictly separate Ads from content. This approach is taken for the reasons discussed here: Is too much blending bad for business?
This mod shows the AD only to GUESTS!
If you want to show it to your members as well remove the “$show[‘guest’]” condition!
Installation instructions
In the template additional.css add:

Navbar Ads in Vbulletin???

Hello mates,
My first message in this great forum. 🙂
In my first message I want to discuss about navbar ads in vbulletin forums. As far as I can see, most of people use those square ads on navbar template of vbulletin.
Frankly, that’s what I did also. But from this day on, I removed the ads on navbar.
Because navbar template is a global template, and these ads are showing up everypage of forum. That’s of course a nice thing for more clicks. But what about impressions???
Navbar ads shown on homepage, category pages, error messages, member pages!
And when I checked my analytics stats about adsense, I saw that category pages get most impressions but almost none clicks. Please look at below image (this is a small part of my adsense stats from yesterday):
White lines for thread link, and yellow lines are rest of forum(most of them category pages) (By the way, I use vbseo)
Even on this small part of stats, for yellow lines there are 8504 impressions and only 10 clicks, which means 0,11 Ctr!!! My general ctr was 0,72 yesterday!
Can you believe it? 7 times lower. So I said bye bye navbar ads!
From now on, my adsense codes will be on thread pages only. I started just today, I’ll inform you about my experience.

Policy Violation

I have just received a Policy Violation, the violation says “Template site”, is this because I run part of my site on Subdreamer and the Adverts are placed on every page of the site automatically.
Would I just be able to run the advertisements on the home page so they are not replicated throughout?I also run vBulletin, do you also know if it is ok to run adsense on there?
Made me totally worried sick, hopefully you can offer advice so that I am able to correct.
I have removed all Adsense from main site and left them just on the forum and don’t mind leaving it like that if then they will be reinstated.

I’m a forum owner and was looking to optimize my forum. I found some of your articles on vbulletin.org and have started implementing them.
I hope to see some increase in my revenue.
