Hi everyone, am I glad to have found this forum!!! I was having a hard time registering because I read somewhere that if your CTR reaches between 7-10%, you are in danger of getting your Adsense account banned! I tried the question 3 times before I succeeded. Never thought that CTR is not a criteria!!!

Hi.
Just joined the forum and gathering some great info here. I have not got to 10 posts yet so wont publish my site for review.
The question I have is what consideration do you put on the first ad type on the page on your Adsense site and the particular placing of this ad?

- 1st you need this AdSense integration together with nice welcome message
- 2nd set up your number of post per page for guests arround 6-8. I recommend show 6 per page.
- 3rd test it for min 4 weeks
I feel so defeated about losing CTR battle with some sites..

On some sites I can’t get to 5% CTR and it’s very annoying.
1.2% on one, less than 1% on two others..
While on the other hand, on other sites I have better results, in french one at 3% and one at around 20% !
Yes, I should be able to have CTR from 5% by ad placement, most of the time, no? But I can’t reproduce the ctr of over 10% on other sites..
I feel I have lost a global vision of ad placement to increase ctr, what works really? Not increasing from 1% to 2% but really rising the ctr to a minimum of 5% it’s not that hard?
Left or right makes a big difference for AD Placements and CTR
Today I want to talk about the positioning of ADs inside of the content.
For a longer time now I have integrated my ADs inside the content on the right side.
A few days back however I changed the position of my last AD Unit on a page at the bottom of the content to the left.
The difference in CTR is significant.
